ASBM Library services and privileges are designed for faculty and students to support research and instruction. Our library aims to serve the needs of faculty, research scholars, and students by providing convenient, user-friendly access to current and relevant information by acquiring, organizing, and retrieving information in various formats (print & non-print).

The library is located on the 1st floor spread over 450 sq. m area with a seating capacity of 150 students. The library is well furnished and air-conditioned. The Library has an open access system facilitating the free use of material on the shelves. It has a separate Reading Hall with ample capacity.

Library users can access more than 10,000+ full-text journals covering titles published sage journals, Indian journals.com, etc. and from the aggregators like EBSCO and J-Gate. Links to various corporate databases like TickerPlant are also made available to the users.

An orientation program for new students is organized at the beginning of every academic year which helps all students acquaint themselves with the library system and services – this ensures maximum utilization of the available resources.

Catalogue

OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) service provided for search and retrieval of holdings available at library.

Circulation

The library’s Circulation Service is fully automated, and all materials are bar-coded.

Reference Service

Professional staff assist users by locating information, recommending sources, refining search terms, and guiding strategies.

Information & Referral Service

Library Professionals direct users to sources outside of the library for additional sources of information.

Question Paper Bank

Past Question papers Print/ Soft Copies are available in the library and students can refer to them as per their convenience.

Reservation of Books

Already issued books can be reserved by any user for further acquisition.

Property Counter

Bags, etc, are not allowed in the Library, for security reasons. The Library have property Counter for the same.

Reading Room

The library is fully Air-conditioned & has internet access. The reading room on the 1st floor has a capacity of 150 students and is open from 9.00am to 6.00pm.

Library orientation and database training is provided for every new batch of students and faculty members.

Reading RoomMonday to Saturday – 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.

The library remains closed on public holidays.

Rules and Regulations

  • The librarian reserves the right to refer any breaches of the rules and regulations and/or improper behaviour towards library staff for consideration within the terms of the appropriate authorities.
  • Students/Staff are required to have their AIMSR identity card to get entry and to use the library.
  • Talking on Mobile Phone in the library premises is prohibited. Keep your mobiles on Silent Mode.
  • Do not play music on mobile or any other gadgets inside library premises.
  • Discussion is not allowed in Reading Room.
  • Eatables are not allowed in the library.
  • Library Computers/Network can be used only for Academic purposes.
  • Do not Mark, Write, Scribble or Underline on library reading materials and properties.
  • Users are responsible for material borrowed on their cards and will be required to pay for any damage to, or loss of, material borrowed at replacement cost, plus an additional fine if any.
